Well, in all honesty, not a whole lot took place this week/weekend. Especially after last weekend's travels, it's nice not doing a whole lot. What I did accomplish was to finalize the things I'll be doing in Colorado for three weeks. This is the longest vacation I've ever taken and am definitely looking forward to it. The hotels were taken care of quite some time back, but this weekend, I finally decided on all the different things I want to do. There's just so much to see and do so you really have to pick and choose. I like the fact that the first leg of the vacation is going to be at the Rocky Mountain National Park. That way, I'll be able to hike a lot. I managed to print out a number of trails and we'll see how that turns out. I'm planning on going to a concert and also a musical while I'm in Colorado.
I did watch four movies at the theater, Fantastic Four, Knocked Up, Pirates of the Carribean and Ocean's Thirteen. All were good movies and now I'm pretty much caught up with my movie watching. I know I most probably will not be watching any movies while I'm on vacation so it was nice to get that taken care of. I've also borrowed a number of books on CD and that will hopefully make the driving go a whole lot faster.
I'll be leaving early Saturday morning. I hope to be on the road by 5AM. That way, I should arrive at Estes Park close to 4PM. I will return to DM on July 14th. I'll be bringing my laptop with me. That way, I'll be able to type in my journal while I'm gone. In some ways, the silent retreat is the one thing that's really drawing me right now. It'll be really nice to just be silent and spend time in contemplation.
We'll I guess that's all the news from me. Send me lots of good thoughts while I'm on my vacation. There will be lots to write about, I'm sure of it.
