On Saturday morning, Anna and I went to a friend of ours daughter’s 2 year old birthday party at a park. We could not have asked for better weather. It was sunny, but the humidity was kept at a minimum. There were some family members and another couple brought their kids. All in all everyone had a grand time especially Aubrey who just could not help but love opening her birthday presents. She’s definitely ready for her terrible twos because there were numerous times when she just kept saying “no” for no apparent reason. It was pretty darn hilarious.
Later that day, we went to a summer party at Fred and Kathy Eastman who are members of St. Kate’s. There were close to twenty people there and everyone was from church so it was a fun gathering. During his free time, Fred loves to hunt so for dinner he smoked some pork and venison. Both were outstanding and everyone feasted. It’s been quite some time since I saw Kevin and Martha so that was fun just to see and catch up with them again.
That’s really the weekend in a nutshell. We did buy a couple of dvds that were on sale and we managed to watch three of them. They were very good movies.
Oh, I should tell you that my work schedule at Paradise has changed once more, but this time for the better. Instead of working 35 hours a week (not really, but there were times when it seemed like it!), I’ll only be working on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. That gives me more time to spend with Anna and once wedding planning really starts kicking into gear, I’ll be able to devote time to it.
