Boy, talk about a lazy weekend for me. On Friday I went to Brian’s beer and cookies party right after work. It was tons of fun. I saw a couple of people from the young adults group who I’ve not seen since I got back and they all wanted to know how the trip went. Thank goodness they will be attending the next dinner at my place where I’ll be preparing a Malaysian meal for them. I’ve kind of made it a pot luck and told them to either bring an appetizer or dessert since I’ll be preparing rice (white and fried) and two different curry dishes. As of right now I think I have roughly six people. In the background, I’ll be showing photos from the trip since a number of them wanted to see photos from the trip. I would have stayed longer at Brian’s if not for the fact that Liverpool was playing Everton the next morning at 6:30AM – any die hard Liverpool fan would not miss a derby game. By the time I went to bed it was 1:30PM which pretty much gave me five hours of sleep.
Thank goodness Liverpool won pretty convincingly. They are looking very good this year and it might just be the year when they finally win the premiership after over twenty years. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed. After the game, I went to the Farmers Market. Needless to say it’s coming to an end so there’s not a whole lot of vendors especially those selling produce. For me, it was just nice to walk around and see the people. I also got to eat my breakfast burrito which was yummy. Oh, since I’ve gotten back, I’ve not had any seafood or Chinese food because I definitely had my fill during my three weeks vacation. Right now I say bring on the American, Italian, French etc cuisines! A movie rental shop had an offer of four dvds for $20 so I perused through it and ended up buying eight dvds. That’s how I ended up with an extremely lazy weekend. I watched four of them back to back and by the time I was done, it was close to 10PM.
Sunday was not really eventful at all. I had my first meeting with my RCIA group at two different times because there was a conflict with one of them. It’s a younger group because one is a freshman at Drake and the other a sophomore. I just got word last night that another person will be joining the group and she’s a little older. We’ll see how it goes.
That’s pretty much it from me for this time.
